A lifetime of vision starts with an annual eye exam.  Your annual visit to Broward Eye Care will greatly increase the chance of finding subtle changes that may affect your vision as well as your overall health.

We at Broward Eye Care are dedicated to providing you the very highest quality vision and eye care. Our doctors use the most advanced technology to diagnose and treat any eye health problems. Some of the instrumentation we utilize includes the Ophthalmoscope, with which we examine the eye's interior; the topographer, which measures the curvature of the cornea; the Phoropter, which fine-tunes your prescription; the Autoperimeter, which assists in detecting retinal disorders, and the Tonometer, which determines pressure inside your eye.

Our comprehensive eye health assessment includes the following:

  • Case history -This is an ideal time to discuss your family's health history, as well as the general status of your health, including allergies to drugs and childhood diseases.
  • Visual acuity - measures clearness and sharpness of your vision.
  • Eye coordination - tests how well your eyes work together.
  • Eye Health - reveals eye health problems, such as cataracts, glaucoma or diseases or the retina. In addition, the doctor will check for high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, diabetes and other conditions which can effect vision and overall health.
  • Accommodation- tests your eye's ability to change focus quickly from far to near and vice versa.
  • Refraction - determines the amount of prescription needed to give you clear comfortable vision.
  • Peripheral vision - checks your side vision.

  • Sunglasses and other protective eye wear
  • List of medications you currently take
  • List of Changes in vision conditions and eye-related problems
